MCC seeking singers of all levels for Holiday Concert

Muskegon Community College (MCC) is seeking singers of all skill levels to join its College Singers for a series of holiday performances, including a Dec. 4 concert at 7 p.m. Rehearsals begin Oct. 19, and take place Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:30 to 3:45 p.m. in Room 1200 of MCC’s Art and Music Building.

No professional singing experience is required. Whether participants have years of choral experience or simply enjoy singing along to their favorite holiday songs, singers of all skill levels are welcome.

“We have people come back every year because it is so much fun, and no, you do not have to be an experienced singer to participate,” said MCC Music Faculty Nicholas Palmer said. “If you simply enjoy singing, we’d love to have you join us.”

Participants will have the opportunity to develop their musical skills, collaborate with fellow singers and help bring holiday cheer to the MCC campus and community.

Those interested in joining the College Singers are encouraged to contact Nicholas Palmer at nicholas.palmer@muskegoncc.edu for more information.

MCC’s Art and Music Building is located at 221 S. Quarterline Rd. The easiest access to the building is through the campus’ East Parking Lot.

Muskegon Community College offers a variety of continuing education classes, cultural activities and community programs designed to help people learn new skills, explore interests and connect with others — without having to enroll as a college student. From professional development and workforce training to personal enrichment, arts and music programs, community lectures and experiential events, MCC provides opportunities for people at every stage of life to continue learning.
