NORTON SHORES – On Thursday Oct. 15, you can get a chance to learn how to make Halloween inspired amigurumi art at the Norton Shores branch of the Muskegon Area District Library (MADL). Amigurumi is the Japanese art of creating stuffed dolls with yarn.

For the fall season, participants will be creating amigurumi of ghosts and pumpkin shaped coasters as a way to really get into the upcoming holiday. Materials will be included but visitors are welcome to bring their own.

Experience with crochet is recommended but not required. This event is intended for adults but there is also a separate amigurumi event for teens.

This free event will happen at the Norton Shores branch library at 705 Seminole Road from 5:30 to 7:00 PM.
